SIAMS

As a church school we are inspected by the National Society (the National Society for Promoting Religious Education) with the objective to evaluate the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a church school.

A SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection focuses on the effect that the Christian ethos of the church school has on the children and young people who attend it. Towards this objective, inspectors seek to assess:

  • How effective the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, is in enabling pupils and adults to flourish.
  • The impact of collective worship.
  • The effectiveness of religious education (RE).
