Parents

Parent Partnership

At St George’s we see our partnership with parents as key. We believe in working closely together to get the best for your child’s education and learning.

Parents, carers and families are by far the most important influences in a child’s life and your support can play a vital role at all stages of education. To support this, we run regular Parent Workshops throughout the year to enable you to support your child at home.

We also hold Coffee Mornings for parents on Tuesday mornings hosted by Miss Ricketts, who invites local professionals such as the School Nurse to help discuss issues that we can support you with.

We operate an open-door policy to encourage parents to come and discuss any issues – however, making an appointment in advance may avoid a potential wait.

Termly newsletters are sent to parents electronically and published on this website. This is an important method of communication between school and home, containing news, information and dates.

Separate letters are also sent home periodically with the children regarding Parent’s Evenings, Trips, Special Events, etc.

Extra copies of letters and the weekly Newsletter are available from the School Office on request.
